Wash inside out
Turn the garment inside out before washing to protect the print from abrasion.
Use cold or cool water
Wash on a gentle cycle with cold or cool water (86–104°F) to prevent shrinking and fading.
Use mild detergent
Use a liquid detergent or PH neutral detergent, and avoid bleach, fabric softeners, and harsh chemicals. Fabric softeners can interfere with the adhesive used in DTF printing.
Don't overload the washing machine
Avoid high rpm washing cycles, which can cause the print to fade, crack, and peel.
Air dry
Air drying is preferred over using a tumble dryer, which can cause shrinking. If you do use a dryer, use a low heat setting.
Iron inside out
If you need to iron the garment, use a cool iron and iron inside out on low heat. Avoid ironing directly on the print.
Wait 24 hours
Allow 24 hours after fitting the transfer before washing, as the print will continue to etch onto the garment for the next 3 days.
Use soft water
Soft water is less likely to cause buildup on the fabric, but if you have hard water, you can use a water softener or detergent designed for hard water.
